Dealing With Stress Management

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a
glass of water and asked,

"how heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied,

"The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight,

but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. "

He continued,

"And that's the way it is with stress management.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on.

As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.

So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.

Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now,let them down for a moment if you can. Relax; pick them up later after you've rested."

And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the
statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat
them.

* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle
of it.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their
Maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was
probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a
warning to others.

* Never buy a car you can't push.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you
won't have a leg to stand on.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world
to one person.

" A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

More on Green: Green Medicine

Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Nutritional Counseling and Yoga are just a few "green" alternatives to conventional medical treatments.

While it is valuable to visit your family doctor for diagnostic technologies, you also have the option of going for green treatments before using pharmaceuticals or more invasive medical procedures.

Green medicine is a move towards more biologically friendly techniques that work with the body's natural ability to heal. These treatments are gentler for the individual and for the planet.

Have you ever tried alternative medicine?

Link Scam Exposed

In the blogging sphere, I find for the most part bloggers support one another. We believe, trust and hope that we all have the same morals and ethics. On occasion we find there are people who attempt to take advantage of others and are dishonest in their approach to acquire links for those interested in rankings. And, at times these same people offer promises they have no intention of keeping.

A few weeks ago I came across an offer to review a blog to receive a link back that would increase my website ranking. Although I was not interested for that is not my reason for being involved in blogging.

However, I noticed some of my blogging friends did take advantage of this offer, so I did alittle investigating. What I found was disheartening. The site offering their links was not who they suggested they were. They mislead, were dishonest and have ignored many requests via email to verify their offer.

There were questions floating around if this site ezine.org was related in anyway to ezinearticles.com. I was hoping that was not the case, for I have 10 published articles at ezinearticles.com and have had only a positive experience.

I wrote to ezinearticles.com regarding this and received an answer:

I hope this answer from ezinearticles.com makes anyone who thought they were involved more comfortable.

My personal blog A Circle of Women is mentioned in the below post from my friend Bobby.

If you reviewed the blog mentioned in the below post, it is my opinion you take action by removing your review post or link. It disturbs me that trusting individuals were scammed into believing they would receive a linkback which is very important to others.

This is an excerpt of Bobby's post:
Ezine.org Link Scam Exposed
When I think of Ezine, I think of a reputable site(s). Don’t you also think of E-zine as being on the up an up? I was unethically tricked into writing a post, Ezine Link Love, to help improve my page rank. I hate to see them involved in internet scams.

Andrea from A Circle of Women and BeachBum, both pointed out to me that Ezine.org has a page rank of 0. I already knew that but assumed the links would come from one of Ezine’s other sites.

Here is the url of the scam site: http://www.ezineblog.org/?page_id=95

Make Money As An Affiliate

If you have an interest in affiliate programs as a way to earn money, here's a site that not only allows you to make money from including their banners and/or links on your website, but you can buy their product at an additional discount for your own use or reselling.

An affiliate program for beach cruiser bicycles is offered through XYZ Bikes.com. With the holidays approaching, I am sure there will be thousands of bikes given as presents.

You receive a 5% commission from referred purchases and even if you choose to purchase the cruisers and resell them, you still receive the percentage of commission.

These beach cruisers are durable and comfortable. Once popular back in the 50's and 60's, they are making a come back. This is the type of bike I had as a young child. It's great seeing them around once again.

Becoming an affiliate of XYZBikes.com before the holidays will give you time to advertise on your website and get people thinking about holiday presents.

From the Dentist's Chair to Our Water

Dentists and Mercury:
The most common use of mercury in dental operations is in dental amalgam. An amalgam being a mixture or blending of mercury with another metal. Amalgams are commonly used in dental fillings. It is made up of approximately 40 to 50% mercury, 25% silver and 25 to 35% mixture of copper, zinc and tin.

Amalgam particles enter wastewater from dental offices when dentists remove old fillings or place new fillings. Estimates of the contribution of mercury in wastewater from dentists range from 11% to 80%.

In a recent survey of seven major wastewater treatment plants in California, Minnesota, Ohio and Maine, dentists were identified as the largest contributors of mercury. There have been more than 20 studies from Europe, Canada and the US that identify the dental industry as the leading source of mercury to sewer systems.

Mercury contaminates our environment, therefore threatens public health and threatens the fishing industry.

Publicly owned treatment works are looking for ways to reduce metals at the source and meet stricter limits using cost effective pollution prevention.

Run a Successful Campaign with Signs

Have you ever noticed political campaign signs while driving through your town? Did they grab your attention?

Campaign signs should grab your attention. They should be placed in appropriate locations. It has been said that campaign signs are the most noticeable attributes of a political campaign in the United States. I would think the design layout of your sign should look great, be easily read and of course, fit your race.

At CandidateSigns.com, you will not only find all the necessary information on how to put together your campaign with using signs, but also how using your sign is beneficial . They offer design layout ideas or they will customize one for you. Even if you have your own artwork, they can print from that as well.

You will find valuable content, articles, the lowest pricing and even campaign sign quick tips. I have visited other political campaign sign web sites and they did offer near as much help. Where else but at CandidateSigns.com would you find an article entitled "5 Design Secrets Your Opponent Doesn't Know or The Do's and Don'ts of Campaign Signs?

It seems this site not only provides inexpensive, quality signs by a union shop, but takes their business seriously. They want you to be successful with your campaign by offering many resources. They back their products with a guarantee and make their customer satisfaction a top priority. You will also find no junk fees associated with your order.

AND, this company is 'green'. The ink they use is the most environmentally friendly ink available and they produce near zero (undetectable) emissions. Unlike traditional screen printing inks, their inks do not contain any solvents – and there’s where they are different. It’s better on the environment.

I would think if you have a political campaign coming up, planning ahead is one important factor and obtaining great resources to run a successful advertising campaign using signs is where CandidateSigns.com comes in.

Freezing water in plastic bottles creates toxins....false

The substance in plastic that would make you sick is called phthalates. This substance is added to plastic to make it more flexible. According to Rolf Halden, Ph.D, an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University, Phthalates is only released when the container is heated, which is why you shouldn't microwave plastic. Freezing actually works against the release of chemicals.

Capture Memories With Unique Gift

I guess since I am now officially in Christmas shopping mode, I am keeping my eye out for the perfect or unique gift for either friends or family.

I came up with something that I think my family will enjoy. If you are looking for a special gift you may want to consider this too.

At Vision Bedding,I can get personalized gifts, such as: Photo blankets, bedding, pillows and even dog beds.

After many years, we finally have a baby in the family....my niece/goddaughter.I can take my favorite picture of my niece and transform it into a pillow for my mom.
I am sure my mother will enjoy having a pillow with her first granddaughter's picture on it sitting on the couch to see all day.

I also have my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary party coming up and I am thinking this may be a keepsake they may enjoy. I can take their wedding picture from 50 years ago and a picture of them now and have it transformed into a unique gift just for them.

I didn't expect to learn that caring for these gifts is so easy. You can wash them on Gentle Cycle in cold water and tumble dry on a low heat setting.

Just wanted to pass along an idea to capture memories and transform them into unique personalized gifts for someone for any occasion.

Vacation Homes in Orlando

My friend was in Orlando, Florida last week for the World's Softball Tournament. A group of his friends went also. Instead of choosing to stay in multiple hotel rooms, they had looked into Orlando rental homes as an alternative. Some of his friends brought their children because they had off from school, so renting a home was not only more comfortable for all of them, but more affordable.

They booked their trip online after seeing photos of the available homes and split the cost. They had a choice between 2 bedroom condos and up to a 7 bedroom home. If they had each booked hotel rooms, they would have paid much more.

What a great idea this was. The comforts of home, their own private swimming pool, they didn't have to worry about bumping into other guests and the kids had a game room to play in.

I think next year I am going too!

The Impact of Car Washing

Are you aware there are acute impacts of driveway car washing?

Water from residential driveway or fund-raising car wash events is allowed to run down the street or parking lot and into the nearest storm drain. This wastewater may carry detergent, traces of metals and small amounts of fuels and auto fluids. This water goes untreated and right into the nearest stream. This has the potential to harm fish and other marine life in the streambed.

There were two practical fish toxicity tests done in Seattle Washington. The first one ran from August 28 to Sept 1, 2006 and used water collected from a fundraiser car wash at a commercial auto service location. The second test done was from November 29 to December 3, 2006 and used a consumer car wash detergent. Juvenile rainbow trout were used in both tests. The tests produced similar results. The first test indicated a percent concentration that was lethal to 50% of the test organisms, the second test indicated 3%.

Other research indicated that detergents as a rule will destroy fish mucus membranes and gills. Natural oils may be washed away, affecting oxygen uptake by the gills. Other freshwater organisms living in streams would also be affected.

Internet Marketing Program Launching Tuesday Sept. 18 ~

I recently just posted about a new program that recently launched that will bring traffic to your blog.

Now I want to fill you in on DealDotCom.
This program is ready to launch on Tuesday, September 18.

Permanent Lifetime Two-Tier Commissions. How does that sound to you? It got my attention...

This site sells anything and everything related to building an online business, increasing traffic, monetizing your website, blogging, web design etc etc... If you are already buying these types of products, members of dealdotcom can buy the same products for much less. The catch is: they will sell only ONE product each day for a very low price. There will be a limited amount of each product and will only be available until it sells out. To buy the product you have to get there fast.

How do you earn commissions?
When you refer others to DealDotCom and they sign up for their FREE account, they will forever be linked to you. Each and every time those members purchase a product, you receive a commission...permanently.
If those members refer others, they will be put on your second tier, which will earn you 15% commission.

I know many people don't believe in the tier marketing system, but it does work. Think of Donald Trump...he is at the top of his tier and his closest associates working under him is basically on the first tier...those people are earning him money, right? Then you have people working under the first tier...which become the second tier. Who do you think is reaping the profits? Donald Trump!

Maybe you should look into DealDotCom before you pass by what can be an opportunity to earn additional money.

The Power of the Gac Fruit

I don't know if this happens to any of you, but when the weather starts to change from summer to fall, my skin changes also. I find the same moisturizers and makeup products I was using do not work like they did in summer.

My skin now feels 'different', more dry. My friend just introduced me to R.G. Skin Revitalizer

Have you ever heard of the Gac Fruit? I didn't either. This is a tropical fruit and used quite intensively as a medicinal product. It grows as large as a cantaloupe in Asia.

R.G. Skin Revitalizer is an all natural product and protects your skin against free radicals from the inside out.

The benefits of this product are:
* Helps support cellular rejuvenation
* Slows the common effects of aging through DNA protection
* Antioxidant defenses against vascular and cellular free radical damage.
* Supports healthy immune function.

The Gac fruit is high in lycopene and beta-carotene. There has also been recent research that suggests that gac contains a protein that may inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells.

After a couple months of being on the beach and in the sun, I know my skin has suffered. There must be damage to my skin even though I can't see it. My friend had noticeable changes in the way her skin looks and feels. Her skin looks more healthy. She even has gotten her husband to start using it. With the power of exotic “Gâc” fruit for your skin, I am sure I will also see positive changes and at my age, I need all the help I can get!

Your Heart's Desire ~ Conclusion

So here we are at the last principal. So far you have learned that in Principal 1, 2 and 3 you were identifying Your Heart's Desire. This is the beginning steps to have your dreams become reality, but also learning that it can not develop by desire alone.

Principal 4, 5 and 6 you learned that without clarity, organization, focus and effort, your dream will never come true. As you moved through these principals, Your Heart's Desire takes shape.

The first three principals are created by emotion and the second three focus on your mental state of mind. The next three principals: 7, 8 and 9 focus on the energy needed to bring your desires to the physical plane where you enjoy your creation.

Principal 9 ~ Stay True to Your Dream

You must realize by now that luck just doesn't happen. A dream doesn't happen. It is the direct result of you meeting certain conditions and laws so you can be unobstructed to Divine expression.

If Your Heart's Desire is true, you will focus on it clearly and gain the support of your subconscious mind. If your subconscious mind supports your desire, then you will begin to imagine your dream in greater depth.

You now need to stay with your dream until is materializes in the physical experience. Principal 9 is the test to see if you passed the prior 8 principals.

Like a puzzle where it is not completed until you have put all the pieces together. A successful outcome is when all the pieces are put together and the last piece completes the puzzle. The last piece of the puzzle is Principle 9. The key here is to remain encouraged, even if that means going back over all the prior principles.

Don't let anyone rain on your parade. Only seek out supportive sources. Do not be easily intimidated, do not ever give up. Be a leader, not a follower and break away from your usual pack if they do not support you. Follow your heart.

Don't hold yourself back from the joy and success you deserve. Practice the spiritual law " Give and it shall be given to you"

Principal 9 is about generosity. Starting with you, toward you and then flowing toward others. You will attract the energy you extend. If you are generous with your kindness and have the ability to be loving, your capacity to receive will expand.

Become completely one with your dream and stay with it until it's birthday.

May all your dreams come true!

A New Definition of Your "Dream Job"

An article in the January 2007 Journal of Occupation and Environmental Medicine states that fatigued workers cost employers $136.4 billion each year in health related lost productive time. A recently published NASA Study found that a short nap can boost workers' output by 34 %.

To increase worker productivity, efforts are being made by many US Employers to allow 20 minute cat naps and provide an employee rest area.

Accommodations can range from simple dimmed break rooms or more complex high end rooms with sleep mats and blankets.

For years many overseas nations have had this in place. The recent studies now support the theory that naps increase memory, worker productivity, reduce stress and improve health. Employers are finding that snoozing at work can actually be cost beneficial.

Your Heart's Desire ~ Principal 8

Claim Your Dream

As you move through each principle you should begin to understand the process is very logical.

Each goal, each desire creates a path to physical evolution. Then the time arrives where you must express your dream to the world, to the physical plane.

This principal announces your greatest power of all and it was right under your nose the entire time. Speaking your dream.

Using your words, what you have been focusing on and all your believe. With the words you speak, you can release the power and life and force into them what they express.

Whether you realize it or not, you own your words. Have the power to carefully and lovingly speak them. You have the power to create what you want through your own words.

Call your dream your own. Claim it. Shout "it's mine" Use your power to own your truth. Examples: I am an artist, I am a musician, I am loved, I am prosperous, I am beautiful, I am secure, I am worthy.

Speak your words with conviction. In doing so, you create.

Principal 8 is the Principal of Accountability. It brings you home to the reality of owning, taking care of and being responsible for your dream.

Behind all words is energy. Walk your talk. Instead of sharing your dream with others, tell them what you have done and accomplished, not what you are going to do.

In building your dream, choose the best possible words. Use affirmation daily. If you find yourself complaining or fearful or discouraged or insecure...speak affirmation..."I am"

Do You Struggle With Weight Issues?

I never had a weight problem, so I do not know personally the health issues one faces when excessively overweight. I did however see through the eyes of my friend the struggles she faced while trying to loose weight.

She put her heart into loosing weight, she committed herself to exercise and diet, but nothing seemed to work for her long term. Along with the physical and health issues, she was experiencing mental issues as well. Withdrawn, depressed and had zero self-confidence.

As a last resort she decided upon weight loss surgery . As she researched her options, she decided on The Lap-Band System. This is the only adjustable and completely reversible weight loss surgery available in the United States.

She had to travel to the center, but had laparoscopic surgery in the morning and was calling me in the afternoon to tell me she was already in her hotel. She explained it as having a band securely put around the upper portion of the stomach, creating a small pouch and a narrow passage into the larger stomach. This will restrict her food intake. She will have support through groups, message boards, receive education on nutrition and get recipe ideas, along with extensive follow up and after care, all provided by this system.

I believe she finally found a system that will enable her to get her life back. I'm looking forward to watching her journey to better health and improved self-esteem.

10 Things To Eat, Take and Do to Improve Your Memory

Do you sometimes feel you forget things a little too often? Walk into a room and forget why you went there? Have a senior moment?
We already know there are foods and supplements that are good for the heart, but are you aware there are foods, supplements and activities that can protect your brain as well?

According to Dr. Jonny Bowde, there are 10 things you can eat, take and do to improve your memory while keeping your brain sharp and functioning for years to come.

1) Blueberries are the ultimate memory food. Research at the USDA showed that daily consumption of blueberries slows the impairment of memory that usually accompanies old age.

Compounds in blueberries called polyphenols actually help "turn on" the signals that let neurons (brain cells) communicate with each other more effectively.

2) Compounds in strawberries help protect your brain and preserve your memory. In a study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, animals that consumed an extract of strawberries, spinach and blueberries every day had improvements in their short-term memory. Not only did they learn faster than the other animals, but their motor skills improved as well.

3) Spinach is loaded with an array of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds that research has shown to slow brain aging and preserve memory. It's one of the few food sources of the powerful, brain-protecting antioxidant alpha lipoic acid.

4) Tumeric is known as a "super-spice" due to its anti-cancer activity and powerful anti-inflammatory properties -- but it also helps to protect your brain.
This spice first attracted the interest of scientists investigating Alzheimer's disease because rates of the disease are so low in India, where curry is a staple. A compound in tumeric called curcumin helps to prevent mental decline in laboratory animals.

5) Fish is indeed brain food! Over 60 percent of your brain by weight is composed of fat, and most of it is the same fat found in fish. The healthy omega-3 fats in fish (and fish oil supplements) are incorporated into cell membranes, making it easier for information from neurotransmitters to get in and out of the cell.

Low levels of omega-3 fats have been linked to memory problems as well as depression, ADHD and various other neurological disorders.

Best sources: Wild salmon, sardines and cod -- or take fish oil supplements on a daily basis (500mg-3,000mg).

6) Egg yolks are one of nature's richest sources of choline, a B vitamin that is one of the most important nutrients for brain health. Choline is a building block of the valuable neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is vital for memory, learning and thinking.

This vitamin is particularly important during pregnancy because it's essential for the brain development in the fetus. The choline in egg yolks helps maintain the flexibility of brain cell membranes, which is critical for the quick transmission of thoughts and impulses.

7) Acetyl-L-Carnitine is a supplement that just may be a fountain of youth for your brain. It seems to delay the onset of age-related cognitive decline and improve overall cognitive function in the elderly. It also protects the brain from damage due to poor circulation and helps to repair injured nerve cells.

Research shows that after three months of using recommended doses of Acetyl-L-Carnitine (500mg-1,500mg daily), there's a marked improvement in general cognitive function.

8) Phosphatidyl Serine (PS), a natural nutrient found in cell membranes is highly concentrated in the brain. Several studies have shown that PS helps to restore brain function and improve learning and concentration.

Our brain health depends on PS for a number of important metabolic effects, as this makes it possible for nutrients to move freely in and out of the brain cells.

Note: To get the benefit of this supplement, take it with fish oil or with a serving of fatty fish such as salmon or sardines.

9) Several research studies on this famous herb have revealed that it has a positive effect on thinking. Not only has ginkgo extract been shown to reduce the progress of dementia or the severity of its symptoms, but it also modestly improves both memory and the speed of cognitive functioning.

The extract of the leaves from the ginkgo plant contain compounds called glycosides and terpenoids which are believed to have memory-enhancing properties. Most importantly, ginkgo improves circulation to the tissues, notably the brain, and its powerful antioxidant action protects against memory-robbing cell damage from free radicals.

10) Exercise is crucial for both mind and body health. It reduces levels of a stress hormone called cortisol, which when elevated, can shrink the hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for memory and learning.

Studies show that exercise may help prevent Alzheimer's or dementia, or at the very least, significantly delay its onset. Exercise also releases chemicals that increase the production of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which has been called "Miracle Gro for the Brain".

Recent research at the University of Illinois shows that the brains of healthy but sedentary individuals ages 60 to 80 years old actually increased in size after exercising aerobically for 45 to 60 minutes, 3 days a week at a moderate clip -- both the white matter and the grey matter increased in volume!

Who's Your Hero?

As I was drove to work today, I noticed all the children waiting for the school buses to pick them up. My mind drifted back in time when my son was still in school. Of course his major subject was sports. He was, and still is a natural athlete. He excelled in football, basketball and baseball. Even now as an adult, he still plays on a basketball and baseball league, but overall, basketball is his life.

His hero was and always will be Michael Jordan.
Once an Olympic athlete, he is considered to be the best known athlete in the world. My son lived and breathed the Chicago Bulls. I took him to his first Bulls game and he was just an awe. I myself couldn't believe the size of this man's hands! He could palm the ball like it was a golf ball. After watching Michael Jordan play, I noticed he started to move just like him...flying through the air to dunk the ball.

At times my son lacked confidence or experienced frustration when some of his school subjects became a struggle for him. I did what I could to keep him motivated and help him keep a positive attitude. That didn't always work.

I thought, if I could do one thing for my son, it would be having Michael Jordan appear on our doorstep to give him the inspiration to keep on going. If he wouldn't listen to me, I know he'd listen to whatever Jordan told him.

That lead me to an idea about our school system. Wouldn't having an Olympic athlete or sports speaker appear at our schools to give kids encouragement, confidence and teach them how education is important be a great thing? Having someone they admire teach them how they can overcome all the odds and succeed at being the best?

I believe kids would definitely listen to them. Having a champion who represents leadership and coach them on what it takes to accomplish their goals. Someone they look up to and admire would spark their interest and listen to what was being said.

Tidbits of Information

Siestas Keeps Your Heart Strong

According to the Archives of Internal Medicine, a study involving 23,000 adults determined that three 30 minute midday naps per week reduced people's risk of suffering a heart attack and dying by 37 percent. Additional found was that even one or two naps each week lowered the risk of heart related deaths by 12 percent.

Author Dimitrios Trichopoulous, MD offers the theory as to why dozing helps defeat heart disease. He says that cat naps can ease heart damaging stress. If you can't take a power nap during your lunch hour at work, at least try a nap or two over the weekend.

Playing Video Games with a New Purpose

According to a new study at University of Rochester, playing video games can improve your vision. Researchers tested gamers and found that they outscored non gamers by approximately 20 percent. Games teach your brain to focus on the important things and filter out distractions. Video games give you the ability to focus on a target shape or focal point according to C.Shawn Green, MA

The Winner

While my son was going through some papers he had laying around, he found something he had copied dated 1998. He didn't remember where he saw it or who wrote it, but I am glad he kept it. Maybe this had helped him at various times in his life.

I think this is worth sharing

The Winner

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't
If you like to win, but you think you can't, it's almost a cinch you won't
If you think you will lose, you've lost
For out in the world you find success...begins with fellows will

It's all in a state of mind

If you think you are outclassed, you are
You've got to think high to rise
You've got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win the prize
For many a race is lost, before ever a step is run, and many a coward fails
before ever his works began
Think big and your deeds will grow,
Think small and you'll fall behind,
Think that you can and you will

It's all in a state of mind

Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or fastest man
but sooner or later the man who wins, is the fellow who thinks he can.

Your Heart's Desire ~ Principle 7

Surrender Control

In creating Your Heart's Desire, you must use all your energy, in every way. When you align all your energy directed toward your dream, you are setting up the perfect conditions for Divine spirit to work.

Once you create this atmosphere, you can now allow the Universe to work magic. Putting the process in God's hands, having faith. If I lost some of you here, I understand. But, I believe we must all have faith.

Faith can mean having the confidence in the future based on what you have done in the past. If you set up all the conditions are described in Principals 1 - 6 (see previous posts), this is what it means to have faith.

Timing is Everything

Energy moves in cycles and dreams take time.

The best way to find faith is to forgive anybody (which includes yourself) that may have hurt you or let you down in the past. Sometimes when we don't forgive and protect ourselves from further hurts, we really are keeping the attention attached to the pain. Choose to view old hurts as necessary steps to get closer to your dream. Success can be viewed as an outcome of failures.

Are you fearful of faith? Look around you, take a breath...look for the beauty and the miracles you can find everyday.

Believe you are worthy of receiving the miracle of your dream. Principle 7 is about patience. This world is so hurried and we all want instant gratification. Instead, move away from those thoughts and let the universe move into your heart.

It's easier to trust or believe when you use all your senses...seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting the reality of our desires, but...does this mean that's all that exists? what about your insight? Listening to your intuition...

Have faith, surrender to the universe and go with the flow

Finally Went Digital !

I've always enjoyed photography. My friends and family hardly ever see me without a camera. I like having photos around to remember the memory. Like it's frozen in time. I can look back and enjoy the memory all over again. It's amazing how you can capture a beautiful image or one so full of emotion.. Photos can make you laugh or bring you to tears.

Cameras have come a long way...from high school learning how to take a picture with tin cans to the advanced technology of digital cameras. I know digital cameras are on most people's wish lists come the holiday season, but I thought I didn't' need one.

I have changed my mind and treated myself early. I deserve it, right?!
Due to the arrival of my first niece/goddaughter, I wanted to easily capture the precious moments of her life. Film her as she develops her personality, her first smile, takes her first steps. I now can take as many shots as I want using different angles and poses. I enter the date and time, so I can organize and locate the pictures later on. When the cameras internal buffer is full, I just transfer to my memory card. This is a wonderful thing! I can't believe I waited this long to go digital.

With my conventional camera, I had to finish the roll of film and then take it to get developed. Sometimes that took a while and on several occasions, I was so anxious to see the pictures taken, I wasted a few shots just to get them quickly developed. It was also a hassle to send pictures through email and share with family and friends.

Now, with my digital, I can easily and immediately view these moments. Print them when I want. Having family who live miles away, We can stay connected through these images. Sharing in email is so much easier. Glad I finally went digital

Do you enjoy using a digital camera?

Win Free Gifts for the Lowest Bid

While I was sick over this Labor Day weekend, I actually started my Christmas shopping. I know, I can't believe it either, but since I couldn't enjoy the sales at the stores, I shopped online.

As I surfed the web,I came across this site called bid4prizes. Unlike standard auctions, this gives you a chance to win free gifts for the 'lowest' bid. Of course this had me curious, so I looked further. I was amazed by the prizes offered. Plasma TV's, Cash, DVD players, spa and resorts packages and even cars.

The idea is to have the lowest unique bid and you win. It could be a penny or $100, just as long as you have the lowest bid. You don't pay for the prize. It's actually a free gift
You're just placing a token bid to determine the winner. You have the option of bidding directly on the site or using your cell phone to text in your bid.

Every time you bid on a prize, you receive a token to use at the "arcade". In this arcade you can win a cash prize from $100 up to $1,000,000 in the sweepstake! Even if you don't win a cash prize during that month, you can carry points over to redeem in the rewards store.

I had no trouble understanding the rules and the layout is simple to navigate through. In just a couple clicks you can start bidding on the prizes you want to win.

Good luck

Save Time & Money With USB Temperature Sensor

Our IT consultant is not stationed in our office, so when we have a temperature issue in our server room, he is only aware after an employee first realizes there is a problem and calls him. This process takes quite some time.

Temperature@lert USB Sensor with Email Alerts is the perfect solution. Being this device sends out email alerts if the ambient air temperature falls below or climbs above the range you set, our IT dept was aware before any employee. This saves time and money.

I was impressed this Temperature alert sensor is powered by the computer’s USB port, so it never needs new batteries or an AC power adapter. It is also quite affordable and very accurate.

I suggest if you have temperature issues, you try this sensor. It carries a full
30-day return policy. If you are unhappy for any reason, the company will return your purchase price (minus shipping & handling) within thirty days of purchase.

Your Heart's Desire ~ Principal 6

Choose To Support Your Dream With Love

At this point, you are progressing to choose how you want your 'dream' to happen. This Principal is about control and action.

You must realize by now that whatever it is you want to create, it will take choices and action.
As this principal states: "Choose to Support Your Dream With Love". This means that your focus must support your dream and requires your love to make it happen.

How many times throughout the day do you want to do something or create something, but your own thoughts or actions sabotage your success? You have the power of choice. This must start and end with you.

When you choose love and enthusiasm to Your Heart's Desire, you are setting up the whole process to begin.

Don't fall into the trap of creating your dream for someone else or what you think someone else expects you to do. Do it for yourself! Somehow you should try to create a balance...fit your dreams into your life instead of sacrificing them for others.

Enthusiasm is contagious. People who work with love, attract it into their lives. Working with Enthusiasm, brings it out in others.

Choose one action each day toward your dream. If you do, you will attract all the love and enthusiasm of the Universe.

Whether you meditate or not, repeat to yourself: I choose only helpful actions and support my heart's desire. Mentally, emotionally and physically.

Coming Next: Principle 7 ~ Surrender Control
